Iconic Australian film MURIEL'S WEDDING has been transformed for the stage. Behind its creation once again is the film's creator, writer and director - PJ Hogan. Composer's Kate Miller-Heidke and Keir Nuttall present a brand new lineup of songs that dazzle alongside some of ABBA's most famous hits. Andy Hallsworth brings his energetic and perfectly stylised choreography, and at the helm as Director is multi Helpmann award winner, Simon Phillips.

 

This is the second Australian movie adaptation for Global Creatures, after Baz Luhrmann's STRICTLY BALLROOM which premiered in Sydney in 2014. MURIEL'S WEDDING opened to rave reviews and a sold out season at Sydney Theatre Company's Roslyn Packer Theatre in 2017, before embarking on a national tour in 2019.

 

Natalie Abbott and Stefanie Jones star as best friends Muriel and Rhonda, originally made famous in the 1994 film by Toni Collette and Rachel Griffiths. 

 

MURIEL'S WEDDING is currently being workshopped for an International production.
